New Chapter in the Musick Book
Hello, friends, family, and future friends! This blog has been… well, it’s been a process. On April 29th of this year, we ended our chapter in Waxahachie, Texas, and began a new chapter in Springfield, Missouri. That was over a month ago… and that’s how long it’s been since I planned on starting this blog to share with the friendly folks we love about our adventure here. Since that time, everyone and their mother, their brother, and their father’s uncle decided to start a blog. Well, if you know me, you know that I try to steer clear of bandwagons and, instead, beat to the sound of a different drum that I most likely made myself. I didn’t want to do what everyone else was doing, so I’ve been sitting on blog post thoughts over the last month and some days… and by sitting on them, I mean when they’ve come to my mind or heart, I’ve been putting them in my Notes App on my phone. While I’ve been contemplating starting this here storybook of the Musicks, a few people have “confirmed” me needing to start this blog… needing to write, to encourage, to be my open-book self.
So. Welcome to my thoughts, my story, the story of our [Mason + Charis] adventure, our new chapter in the Musick Book that God’s written and we’re discovering. I will go as far to say that openness and transparency is a gift that God’s given me… so I most likely won’t wait until we’re out of a story before I share my heart. You may get to hear [err… read] about the story in the midst of the hail, the wind, and the rain. But you’ll also read of His promising rainbow and the following sunshine… because the truth is, He is always constant even when we change directions, locations, attitudes, mindsets, relationship statuses [with Him]—you get the point—and no matter the chapter or season we’re in.
Now, the some of the first posts will most likely be those thoughts that have been chillin’ underneath me like eggs waiting for the right time to hatch, but you’ll figure that out once you start reading. I hope you feel encouraged from my heart to yours. And I hope you laugh and smile and cry—if you need to. Happy reading!
Adventure on, folks!
